The Wagnalls Memorial Library Hosts several monthly Book Clubs

Adult Book Club

We read books from a variety of genres and our next meeting is February 24 from 7pm-8pm in the Wagnalls Loft.  We will be discussing Pack Up the Moon by Kristan Higgins.  Click HERE for more information.

Mystery/Thriller Suspense (MST) Book Club

If your favorite genres are mystery, suspense, and/or thriller, this is the book club for you! You are welcome to bring your favorite beverage, including adult-only, to enjoy while we talk and we meet the second Thursday of each month. The next meeting will be Thursday February 10 from 7pm-8pm in the Loft. The January book selection is The Late Show by Michael Connelly.  Click HERE for more information.

Local Author Book Club

Each month we will feature a different local author and all read the same book by that author.  Then the author will attend our book club meeting to discuss his or her book!  You can ask questions of the author, get your book signed and have the opportunity to buy more books by that author.  These books will be given to you for free to read, since there usually are not enough copies in the library to check out.  But you must register in the library, online or by contacting Sarah at smayzum@wagnalls.org.  We meet the second Tuesday of each month.  Our next meeting is Tuesday, March 8 at 6:30pm.  We will be discussing the book Where's Jimmy? A Lifetime Search for a Little Boy's Soul and the Discovery of My Own with author Kathy Jefford.  Click HERE for more information.

Afternoon Book Club

Unlike our other book clubs that meet in the evenings, this book club for adults will meet in the afternoon and discuss a variety of genres.  Our next meeting is Wednesday February 16 at 2:00pm.  We will discuss the book Angel Falls by Kristin Hannah.  Click HERE for more information.
