The Wagnalls Memorial Library Hosts several monthly Book Clubs

Adult Book Club

We read books from a variety of genres and our next meeting is January 27 from 7pm-8pm in the Wagnalls Loft.  We will be discussing Pack Up the Moon by Kristan Higgins.  Click HERE for more information.

Mystery/Thriller Suspense (MST) Book Club

If your favorite genres are mystery, suspense, and/or thriller, this is the book club for you! You are welcome to bring your favorite beverage, including adult-only, to enjoy while we talk and we meet the second Thursday of each month. The next meeting will be Thursday January 13 from 7pm-8pm in the Loft. The January book selection is Eight Perfect Murders by Peter Swanson.  Click HERE for more information.

Local Author Book Club

Each month we will feature a different local author and all read the same book by that author.  Then the author will attend our book club meeting to discuss his or her book!  You can ask questions of the author, get your book signed and have the opportunity to buy more books by that author.  These books will be given to you for free to read, since there usually are not enough copies in the library to check out.  But you must register in the library, online or by contacting Sarah at smayzum@wagnalls.org.  We meet the second Tuesday of each month.  Our next meeting is Tuesday, February 8 at 6:30pm.  We will be discussing the book Mabel's Musings with author Carol Gaal.  Click HERE for more information.

Afternoon Book Club

Unlike our other book clubs that meet in the evenings, this book club for adults will meet in the afternoon and discuss a variety of genres.  Our next meeting is Wednesday January 19 at 2:00pm.  We will discuss the book Love Anthony by Lisa Genova.  Click HERE for more information.
