Road Ready

RoadReady logs teen driving practice during the Learner’s Permit phase. The app provides an easy, efficient way to ensure teens have enough experience behind the wheel in a variety of conditions before they begin to drive independently. RoadReady allows you to: log teen Learner’s Permit driving, track

multiple drivers, track road type and weather conditions, export printable driving log, receive suggestions for safe driving and more.

RoadReady is a component of The Parent’s Supervised Driving Program, recipient of the US Department of Transportation National Roadway Safety Award.

What Tree is It?

What Tree is it?
The peak season for fall color in Lithopolis is likely to be the week of October 17h or 24th. Get outside, take a walk, or grab a rake and gather some beautiful leaves!! Identify your leaves from home using our What Tree is it? on our Wagnalls website or stop in and identify some of our samples. This knowledge base is from Ohio Public Library Information Network (OPLIN) and the Ohio Historical Society.

BookFlix

Tired of battles over time spent watching Netflix? Give BookFlix a try. It was created by Scholastic for preschool to 3rd grade. Students choose from categories and receive a list of fiction and non-fiction book pairs that will appeal to even the most particular reader. Students then listen/read the pair of books and choose some fun activities to verify their comprehension.

Click on   to try. BookFlix is recommended by our School Outreach Librarian-Amy Hesterman. It is available free to all Ohio schools and available to our patrons through our website at wagnallslibrary.org.

We have some tools available on our website to help parents guide students through note taking, studying, study skill assessment, making flashcards and more. Click on the icon below to get familiar with it before the year starts. (Or at least save this link to refer to when you REALLY need it). Enjoy the rest of the summer.
