Friends of Wagnalls Memorial Library

The Friends of the Wagnalls Memorial Library is a separate 501c3 charitable organization formed to support The Wagnalls Memorial. The purpose of the Friends group is four-fold: educate the public; recruit volunteers; produce events for Wagnalls; and raise funds to support endeavors of The Wagnalls Memorial.

The Friends of the Wagnalls Memorial Library do this by holding at least two used book sales a year and selling concessions at the Wagnalls Community Theater shows. From these fundraisers and annual membership dues, the Friends have purchased most recently stoves for the Social Hall kitchen and a new water fountain with a water bottle filler. They also support the Summer Reading Program and staff and volunteer recognition events.

Meetings:

The Friends meet monthly on the third Tuesday each month in Library at 6:30 pm except for December. The March meeting is their annual meeting with new members reception!

Friends Free Little Library

We sponsor a Little Free Library in the Village of Lithopolis. It was lovingly designed and constructed by the volunteers of Girl Scout Troop 6079 in 2021. We very much appreciate their willingness to take on the project for us. The Little Free Library is located in the front yard of The Gilmore Group RedOne Realtors on Columbus Street. We also appreciate The Gilmore Group and the owners of the property, Eileen Benson & Kathy Moling, for their permission to place it. If you are unfamiliar with Little Free Libraries, it is a free community book exchange that can be found around the world! The idea is simple - take a book, leave a book. If you don’t have a book at that moment, you can bring one to leave later.
