HeritageQuest Online -- The largest genealogical data, products, supplies and equipment provider to consumers and institutions in the United States. (Remote Access Available )

Homework Now -- A live online information service provided free of charge for the citizens of Ohio by the State Library of Ohio and your local public library. Professional librarians are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Once logged on with your Ohio zip code, you and a librarian engage in a "chat" session.  At the conclusion of each HomeworkNow session, you will receive a complete transcript of your session via email including links to all the online resources shared during that session. Internet Public Library for Teens -- Developed for teenagers ages 13-19 and their parents, teachers, and anyone else interested in information directed to and about teenagers and young adults. Internet Public Library Kidspace -- Developed for children and youth ages 4-14, their parents, teachers, and anyone else interested in the literature and information directed to and about children and young adults. Material used and sites recommended are chosen based on their appropriateness for the subject matter (ie, science projects, math, stories, literature discussion, etc).  While the resources may not be aimed specifically at children or young adults, their contents should be of interest and useful to these age groups. Merriam Webster Online -- Dictionary is based on the print version of Merriam-Webster's Collegiate® Dictionary, Eleventh Edition. The online dictionary includes the main A-Z listing of the Collegiate Dictionary, as well as the Abbreviations, Foreign Words and Phrases, Biographical Names, and Geographical Names sections of that book. It also includes 1,000 illustrations and 25 tables. Selected sections of the print Collegiate Dictionary, notably the Signs and Symbols section, are omitted from the online Collegiate Dictionary because they include special characters and symbols that cannot readily be reproduced in HTML. Sanborn Insurance Maps -- Large scale street plans produced by the Sanborn Fire Insurance company from 1867 to 1970. These maps are heavily used in both public and academic libraries by a wide range of researchers including local historians to locate and identify buildings and neighborhoods, urban historians to study the growth of towns and cities, and environmentalists concerned about impact of new developments.
